Introducing our Spring/Summer ’18 collection

There’s a subtle touch of spring in the air, which means winter is on its way out and we’re heading into the most uplifting time of the year! With fresh flowers, longer days and brighter skies ahead, there’s one more thing we’ve been overly excited about… the arrival of our brand new Spring/Summer 2018 collection! Created exclusively by our sofa.com team, we’re thrilled to be able to finally reveal the beautiful handcrafted pieces now available, including the work we have been doing with five extraordinary designers as part of our Design Lab series. Without further ado, may we introduce you to our Spring/Summer 2018 collection…

Sofas

The focal point of the home, the place you run to after a long day and the area where your kid’s imagination’s can come alive – the sofa is one of the most important pieces of furniture in your home, so of course, our new collection had to feature a captivating collection of new styles.  Meet the new sofas that made the cut this season:

Jasper

Unique in style, but with plenty of practicality, our Jasper is suited for busy homes and interior lovers alike

Jasper is available as an armchair, two, two and a half, three seat sofa and as three different corner size sofas.

Walter

With a high, fixed back that would perfectly suit a bright or patterned fabric, Walter would make a striking statement in any room. Equally, its contemporary styled arms and optional castor legs, mean that Walter is just as appealing when upholstered in a more neutral palette for a pared-back look.

Walter is available as an armchair, loveseat, two, two and a half and three seat sofa.

Hendrik

Our Hendrik bed was looking a little lonely, so we’ve taken the same functional detail, including the slatted back and exposed wooden frame, to create a beautifully Scandi-inspired range of minimalistic seating.

Hendrik is available as an armchair, two, two and a half and three seat sofa and as a footstool.

Accent chairs

An accent chair has the ability to add a touch of comfort and charm to a room in an instant. Whether you upholster in a bright hue to add a splash of colour, or you want to use it to complement your current decor and add further texture, our range of accent chairs may hold something you are looking for. Take a seat this season on our new occasional chairs:

Harper

Taking inspiration from the art deco era of British design, Harper oozes glamour and sophistication with its decadent fluting design.

Jetson

What Jetson lacks in size, it makes up for with bundles of style and versatility! Ideal as an accent chair for the bedroom, pulled up at your desk in the study or even as a great addition to a hallway.

Parker

Parker is our blank canvas of accent chairs. Transform it into the chair that stops people in their tracks with an eye-catching leather or choose a more neutral hue and let the beautiful silhouette do all the talking.

Minnie

Completely versatile and perfectly suited to both modern and mid-century homes, Minnie is ideal for those who want something generous to sit on and delightful to look at.

Maggie

Is there a space in your home that’s crying out for something for you to perch on, but you’re not quite sure what kind of sofa should go there, or if it even needs one? Well, Maggie is our mini range, perfect for all those kinds of tricky spots!

Maggie is available as an armchair and as a loveseat.

Armchairs

Whether you’re looking for an armchair to complete your seating selection, something to match your current sofas or just a cosy piece to curl up on – our range of luxurious armchairs have been designed with your complete comfort in mind.

Duke

With its attractive high winged back, Duke has a touch of grandeur about it, but as always, it has your total comfort in mind with extra padding in the seat and wing, so an afternoon nap is always on the cards.

Louis

If armchairs had a family, our Louis would be the trendy grandson of Duke. With the same high winged back as his grandfather, we’ve given Louis some more refined features and a slightly mid-century twist, with a seat that makes you go ‘ahhh’ and smile as you sit down.

Beds

You won’t be losing any sleep in one of our beds, especially in our new French-inspired Emilia design.

Emilia

The only addition to our bed range this season, but it’s a beautiful one! Emilia has a semi-upholstered, exposed beechwood frame which can be upholstered in over 150 fabrics, making it an elegant and stylish addition to any bedroom.

Emilia is available as single, double, king and as a super king size bed.

Accessories

Enhancing the look of your home is all in the detail, so here’s a sneak peek at what has been added to the collection this season, with plenty more exciting additions to come soon.

Design Lab Spring/ Summer 2018

Every season we collaborate with an outstanding designer to create a selection of exclusive fabrics to upholster onto your favourite sofa.com pieces. This year, however, we’ve brought you not just one, just five extraordinary designers, to bring you a special range of upholstery fabrics, cushions and rugs. Meet the designers… Zoe Glencross Zoe Glencross combines her love of colour and painting with her English countryside surroundings to provide a fun, yet classic, approach to adding pattern and a sense of creativity to your home. Zoe’s designs include hand-drawn sketches which give these fabrics a rustic feel but partnered with a bolder colour palette to sit well with the sofa.com design statement. Zoe’s designs are available in two upholstery fabrics, Slade Stripe and Mottram Meadow and two cushion designs Bollin Bird and Paper Leaf, in two exclusive colourways Pink Grapefruit and Anchor. Complete the look of your room with Zoe’s Mottram Meadow rug.

Gail Bryson Gail Bryson specialises in creating simple prints that will complement a wide range of home styles. Finding inspiration from photographs taken while she is out exploring, these fun and energetic designs sit well within contemporary surroundings. Pair with our best-selling pure cotton matt velvet fabrics for a particularly special look. Add bold colour to your interiors with Gail Bryson’s upholstery designs, Trill and Soni, or add a softer splash of colour with Gail’s cushions Kantha and Twist, available in Yolk and Cerulean. Complete the look of the room with Gail’s Stack rug design.

Tori Murphy Since the launch of her brand in 2012, Tori Murphy has become synonymous with creating luxury British textiles and homeware accessories and she has translated these skills into creating an exclusive range of fabrics for sofa.com.  Tori has drawn inspiration for her Jacquard woven fabrics from time spent living on a beautiful leafy street in London, overlooking an English garden blooming with flowers and appealing patterns.  The muted tones and fresh designs perfectly complement both town or country homes and are easily adaptable into current interiors. You can upholster your favourite sofa.com design in two designs from Tori, Climbing Chevy and Clarendon, in two colourways Stratus and Forget Me Not, and complete the look with Tori’s cushion designs English Flower and Trellis.

Ola: We discovered Ola’s beautiful patterns and designs last year on some exquisite Christmas crackers and knew we just had to see the designs on our sofas! Created by founder Katy Goutefanga, the two upholstery designs, Victor and Squares, are taken from Ola’s collection and were inspired by a book of traditional Japanese pencil patterns dating back 400 years! Our collaboration with Ola is their first venture into turning their contemporary designs into fabrics, making these designs truly special! Ola’s designs are available as two upholstery designs, Victor and Squares and two cushion designs, Grid and Brushstroke in two colourways Oyster Pink and Waves.

Tamasyn Gambell: Tamasyn Gambell is a well-established textile designer who prides herself on not only creating luxurious, timeless designs but also upholding a responsibility to work in the most environmentally responsible ways possible. Her printed designs are a nod to mid-century styling and add an exciting, timeless appeal to interiors with hand-drawn details and block shapes that coordinate perfectly with each other. Tamasyns fabrics are available to upholster onto a selection of sofa.com designs in Textured Stripe and Abstract Square and as cushions in Aztec and Slice, in the colourways Camouflage and Guava.
