by Kristin on 11 OctoberWe love our new furniture. We also bought the maximus sofa and a bed which I can't remember the name, Angelica I think? I love everything. We bought a mattress at Dreams because your mattresses weren't firm enough, but the Dreams mattress fits fine.
Our service at your shop was faultless. The lady that helped us was lovely. The delivery men were equally great. One of our sofas has been put on a wood floor and one of the delivery men pointed out that I need special pads on the bottom of the long island sofa to hold it in place so it doesn't move. He didn't have any in the truck so he said he would have them sent to me. He did get some sent to me, but not enough. So I called last week to get some more sent. They haven't arrived yet so I'll call again to see if they've been sent.
I would definitely go back to sofa.com for my future sofas and beds. I plan on another visit soon because we want to buy one of your chairs.
Great store, great service and last, but not least great products.

Follow-up call about delivery was dealt with efficiently. Tight squeeze to get modular sofa parts downstairs but was made to look easy by the delivery men without a single mark to the newly decorated walls. Thank you!

It seems like on the whole you are very happy with the sofa, the fabric and the service provided, and we just hope that this slight issue has not soured your experience with us. At present, this is the design of the Long Island and truthfully we have not received a comment to this effect before and so it is not something we have every really considered. However, if we do see an increase in these such comments then we will, of course, look at the overall design as ultimately, your comfort is our command! -

We can assure you that providing outstanding customer service is one of our main priorities here at sofa.com, and we have clearly let ourselves down hugely here. Whilst we are not looking to make excuses, all we can think here is that this occurred during a very busy weekend where perhaps the staff was stretched somewhat thinly. We went to your showroom and tried the one there and it was super-comfy which is why we bought it, but the one we got was much harder. Also, it would be better if the backs of the units were higher as the cushions have a tendency to sag over them.

Dear Rosalind, We are sorry to hear that you do not think your sofa is as comfy as the one you tried in our showroom. With these brand new sofas, it does take a little time for the feathers to settle and the foam to soften up a bit which is when the real comfort happens. Also, the Long Island is a sofa designed to really sink in to, and we always recommend as many scatter cushions as possible to get that real sinky-in feeling and it is for this reason that the back of sofa is quite low. I am sure that it will get comfier the more you use it, but if this is not the case then please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we will see what we can do to help you out. -
