It feels like everything I've bought recently - from a car to some car mats on eBay - has been followed by a request for feedback on my 'experience'. Most of these go the way of my delete folder since I simply don't have the time or the depth of feeling one way or the other to respond.

I have to make an exception for sofa.com though; you are amazing. From first opening your website, through entering your showroom and ordering, to receiving our sofas we've been blown-away with your service. Your staff are patient, honest (we never knew that Belgian linen could crease more than other fabrics over time) and know their stuff. In the interests of balance I'm scrabbling for areas where you could improve, but I'd have to be picky to the point of irrelevance.

Needless to say we love our sofas and they look great in-situ.

We came to sofa.com through a friend's recommendation and won't hesitate to re-pay the compliment. Thank you (and congratulations for revitalising my interest in customer surveys).

My Sofa arrived last Saturday and I just love it!

Everything went so smoothly with the whole transaction and the delivery, it has exceeded my expectations. Not only does the sofa look fantastic in my lounge it is sooooooo comfy, am kind of looking forward to the winter evenings so I can curl up on it. The two hour delivery slot was brilliant and all the email communication made me feel that everything was under control. Before contacting sofa.com, I was a little nervous about purchasing an expensive item without it being seen or felt. I need not have worried - all contact via phone was easy and made me feel that I was dealing with a small intimate company. All personnel were delightful and extremely helpful. I just loved the package my fabric sample came in - I felt it was all beautifully designed with a complete friendly package of all the right information - or how to find it. The sofa arrived looking and feeling just as I had hoped and I couldn't be happier.

I am delighted with my two-seater and three-seater Jackson sofas. They are smart and elegant, but deliciously comfortable, perfect for curling up on for cosy night in.

At all stages the customer service I received was excellent. I appreciated the confirmation calls when I had purchased my order and to confirm delivery. The two gentleman who delivered my sofa were on time, very friendly and polite and worked hard to get my big sofas in through a small doorway!

Overall, I have had an excellent impression of your company and wouldn't hesitate to recommend you. And if I ever need another sofa (I'll have to move somewhere bigger first!) I'll come straight back!

I absolutely LOVE my new sofa and my bed. The bed is knock-out and three of my friends have asked how they could get one - I've of course given them your details. And the sofa is so darn comfortable that I can hardly get out of it - have even, for the first time, bought a television, simply because I want to sit on the sofa more!

By the way the delivery guys were so nice. The helped me move around other furniture in the house, which I really appreciated. And when they forgot to give me the extra arm covers they came immediately back that afternoon and put them through the letter box. Its these little touches - plus the fabulously high quality furniture which more than lives up to expectations - which now makes me sofa.com's Number One Fan. Thank you.

Things that I liked about your service:

The swift and efficient "swatch" service
The guarantee that you will take the sofas back if they are not right within the designated time limit (obviously I haven't had to take this up)
The delivery guys were so polite and helpful - and phoned me before they arrived so that I knew what time they would be with me.

All in all - I am very impressed and would recommend you to anyone!

Most importantly - the sofas look beautiful and are just the right size for the lounge.

I'm really pleased with my new sofa. I was a bit nervous buying such a large item unseen, but it was fine.

I loved the comfy pack. The picture and fabric sample sat on the floor in lieu of the sofa while I waited for it to be delivered.

I was away for the first available delivery date, and did have to call a couple of times to get a new date, but that aside the process was smooth and pleasant.

Your delivery guys were polite and helpful, phoned to let me know their ETA. Put the sofa in it's correct position, and took all the packaging away.

I'm hoping they'll last for years but when I need to buy again, I'll be coming straight back.

Thanks for your email. I have to say that we are absolutely thrilled with our sofas and am happy to give you feedback on our experience.

Firstly, the items themselves: We bought two Carricks in teal (one two-seater and one three seater) and they are even nicer than we thought they'd be. They look fabulous as well as being lovely and deep and super-comfortable. And because the seat cushions are so well padded, they retain their shape really well (we have two small boys so they take a good bashing day-to-day!). Also it goes without saying that, having shopped around, yours are definitely the best value sofas we found (by a long way) and you don't compromise on quality to offer such good value either which is a bonus.

Secondly the ordering service: faultless really. It was as simple as anything to order online. We were reassured by your emails confirming the order and couldn't believe that we were going to get them delivered within four weeks! The soonest we'd been offered anywhere else was 8-12 weeks minimum so top marks there.

Finally the delivery: You said in your email that the sofas would be delivered by 1pm on the day, and that we should allow an hour either side to account for traffic etc. Well I received a phonecall at 12.45 saying they were half an hour away (very courteous I thought) and true to their word, they arrived at 1.15pm on the dot. You really can't say fairer than that. The two delivery guys were lovely, very polite and helpful and they even took all the rubbish away afterwards.

In all, our experience with Sofa.com was excellent and I haven't stopped recommending you to all my friends. We will definitely use you again.

I am very happy to provide you with feedback regarding my new sofa. It is all positive! The whole experience from looking at the website, originally about 2 years ago, to obtaining my first swatches, to my second set of swatches, to making my choice, ordering and then taking delivery of the sofa, it was all totally pain-free, very easy to do, a fantastic website which made the whole concept of ordering a sofa online so manageable. I had to ask a friend if she would actually take delivery as I was at work, not expecting the order to be completed so quickly, and she was most impressed by her experience, the drivers ringing to inform her of their ETA, the efficent way the sofa was put in place, even the detail of plumping up the cushions before they left!

I would not hesitate to recommend sofa.com to anyone looking to buy a beautiful piece of furniture such as mine.

Our Sofa arrived a couple of weeks ago and I just wanted to thank you for such a fantastic service and for providing the best sofa in the world. Although we are kind of concerned that we may now turn into hermits and never leave the house! Our sofa is sooooo comfortable and so far everyone who has come round has been extremely jealous. One friend stayed the night and slept on the sofa (it is not a sofa bed) and she said ' oh my god i had the best nights sleep your sofa is more comfy than my bed!'. I love my new sofa! It has taken me two years of shopping around to find my ideal sofa. When I sat in the Stella chaise corner sofa I knew it was the one I would buy. It is so stylish and very very comfortable.

The staff were very helpful when I rang them and when I also visited the shop in Chelsea Wharf. I tested out the sofas on two occasions and made my order on the second visit. The sofa was delivered exactly 5 weeks later, to the day, as promised. The delivery men were an hour early and I warned them that the entrance to my flat was very narrow but after 10 minutes of gently navigation and a lot of to-ing and fro-ing, and an awful moment when I thought it got stuck, they made it! I was worried that the sofa would be damaged once they got it up the stairs but it had been very well packed and protected.
