Summer 2019 as designed by you
Now, you’d be forgiven for thinking summer had been cancelled this year, what with all these lovely flood warnings of late (flood warnings…in June…FLOOD WARNINGS!). However, we’re eternal optimists here at sofa.com and can see the sun putting his hat on just behind those rather ominous purple clouds. Yes, we’re getting into the summer spirit come hell or high water (flood warnings, remember?) and want to share some of our favourite customers’ spaces that have been keeping our social media feeds bright and cheery lately. Check out some of our top picks below and be sure to share your #sofadotcom spaces with us on our Instagram page for your chance to be featured in future editorials.
Our Dahlia 2.5 seat sofa in Jade smart velvet
We’ve fallen head over heels for @end_of_the_row’s dreamy interior! Having upholstered our Dahlia 2 seat sofa in Jade smart velvet, Stacey has nailed the jewel tone trend while keeping things refreshingly family friendly (our smart fabrics allow you to wipe away spills before they have time to sink in). Stacey’s monochromatic walls and playful use of pattern in her choice of scatter cushions and rug, lend this living space a modern feel with an edge of eclecticism – Brava!
Our Bluebell 2.5 seat sofa in Pumice house plain weave
Now, if this space doesn’t make you want to put your feet up and sink into a summer novel then we don’t know what will! @blossomingbirds has created a blooming beautiful conservatory space that’s light and airy yet snug and comfy all at once. Our Bluebell 2.5 seat sofa in Pumice house plain weave looks like the perfect spot for a bit of summer eve snuggling and we’re loving the combination of a breezy colour palette and hints of metallic/gold hues.
Our Saturday loveseat in Canary cotton matt velvet
Sunshine in a chair, that’s what this is. Sunshine. In. A Chair! @leopardandlinen has created an unquestionably luxe living area that’s wonderfully summery yet can easily transition into winter months thanks to a clever use of contrasting colours and textures. The Canary cotton matt velvet of our Saturday Loveseat has been strikingly offset by the deep blue tones of Farrow and Balls’ paint used on the panelled wall behind. Exposed floorboards help to lend this space some timeless country house chic while the sunburst mirror and eye-catching tile-effect rug add a sense of the boutique.
Our Hendrik armchair in Olive cotton matt velvet
For an example of how to bring the outside in with beautiful results, look no further than @hornsby_style’s home – this space is absolutely stunning! The flourishing fauna is perfectly complimented by organic details in the natural woods and woven rugs. Our Hendrik armchair feels right at home amongst this foliage thanks to the Olive cotton matt velvet upholstery.
Our Snowdrop 2.5 seat sofa in Alabaster brushed linen cotton
We’ve been slightly obsessed with the olive green colour trend lately, so imagine our surprise/joy when we saw this beautiful snap from @thenuthouseuk! The rich green hues seen across this space’s walls and scatter cushions have been playfully offset by the luxuriously light finish of our alabaster brushed linen cotton (seen here on our Snowdrop 2.5 seat sofa). Gold detailed accessories add a touch of opulence to the space making it feel refined yet relaxing all at once.
Our Claude armchair in Dove smart velvet
On a home envy scale of 1-10 we’re currently at an 11 looking at @sittonkirsty’s remarkably sophisticated space! With its dark wood floor, ornate fireplace and traditionally tufted Claude armchair, this is a room that says classical sophistication from top to toe! Kirtsy has played with a contrast of light and dark hues in this space to add a sense of personality to her opulent style. Magnificent!
Our Oscar 2.5 seat sofa in Alabaster brushed linen cotton
How’s this for a jaw-dropping drawing room? @thehousebuild has plumped for a cool cream colour palette and paid close attention to premium detailing like the silver studding and button tufting of our Oscar sofas. Classical chic at its finest!
