After making payment, I never had to call/email to check on delivery, as the communication standard from Sofa.com was exceptionally high, & we always knew how our order was progressing. The delivery was brilliant - even called to say that they were running late, but still arrived on time! Delivery men were polite & very helpful.

The delivery men were actually smiling throughout, despite carrying two huge sofas up three flights of stairs, and on top of that they even plumped the cushions - beautifully. Oh, and we love the sofas, too.....we are really very happy indeed.

The service was exceptional UNTIL the delivery guys delivered my bed adn before i could say anything they had taken the plastic covering off and tried to get it up the stairs. I had told them it wouldnt go and that we had to lift it up by ropes over the balcony and through the windows. they didnt listen then when they couldnt get it through the door they got a bit cross. Basically it went up alongside the house with no covers, and hence the sofa got a bit dirty. I have to say i was pretty disappointed. After initial dithering over the generous proportions of the maximus we decided to keep it and now absolutely love it. Super comfy and stylish. Showroom staff were very patient about my to-ing and fro-ing over keeping it or changing it. We've definitely made the right choice though.

Dear Karen, You will have received some information regarding the fabric protection when we sent out your order confirmation which outlines the basic do’s and don’ts of the policy and how to go about making a claim if you do incur a stain. You are covered by the warranty from the moment the sofa is delivered, however, it does take a couple of weeks for Guardsman to fully register you on their system and post you out the full policy. We are sure that you will receive the paperwork in the near future but please don’t hesitate to get in touch if it does not arrive shortly but we very much hope you are enjoying your new sofa! -

by Mark on 12 JulyThe sofas delivered were great however, upon delivery the feet were incorrectly fitted which left gouges in a newly fitted £2000 oak floor.
The customer service desk was very quick to offer £150 compensation for the damage which I was assured would arrive the following Monday.
It did not arrive and upon enquiring one week later why it had not arrived I was told that it was in the post and would be with me the following day.

We are extremely sorry for the issue with the scratches on your new floor caused by our delivery guys. When delivering large, heavy objects such as our sofas on rare occasions accidents do happen. We are extremely sorry that this happened to you but are glad that you are happy with the compensation to cover the damage that was offered. Unfortunately, after doing some chasing it appears that the cheque must have been lost in the post as we have records of it being sent out. Nevertheless, we have now cancelled the cheque and have arranged to process the compensation back on to your card.
