Bronte Double Bed in Nickel
by Max on 3 AugustThe side bars on the bed are not nickel. This is not made clear in any of the text about the bed. It is very slightly visible in the main photographs but not at all in any of the others. I was made aware that there would be a wait on the bed. In the end I had to wait for over a month, had I known this at the start I would not have ordered it. The bed is however very comfortable.

Dear Max, We are delighted that you are finding your new bed comfortable but it does seem like you are disappointed with a couple of aspects which we are very sorry to hear about. Admittedly, the two side panels do not have the same shiny nickel finish as the headboard, footboard and the legs, but this is certainly not something that we have deliberately tried to hide in any way. We will certainly take your point on board and will look at adding this into the description of the bed so that customers are completely aware of what they are buying. We believe that the Bronte is a beautiful, simple and classic design that will not date, and we genuinely don’t think that the side boards detract from this. We are extremely sorry that you were not aware that the sideboards would be different but we are very confident that this will grow on you and you will appreciate the bed in all its’ glory. In regards to the lead-time, more often than not, we have our metal beds in stock ready for despatch, however, on this occasion we did need to have the bed manufactured specifically for you which you were informed about and we did manage to deliver it well within our standard lead-time. Again, we are very sorry to hear that you felt you were not made aware of this but despite all of this, we very much hope you are enjoying the bed and we are sure that you will be finding it comfortable for years to come!
