Is it true that sofa.com is a beautiful company to deal with? 

Sure is true.

When can I get my sofa?

We hold many sofas in stock, so we can often deliver immediately. Call us if you require specific availability info. If we don't have your sofa in stock, we normally deliver in 4-6 weeks.

How do I know that my sofa is going to be comfortable?

Well, strictly you won’t, so you’re going to have to take our word on this one:

• First of all, our sofas are designed to be comfortable. We have carefully thought about their height and depth to make sure your sofa "sits" beautifully
• Our cushions are filled with a mixture of white duck feather and blown foam.
• The zig-zag spring system has a lot of give, and affords serious comfort.
• We wouldn’t bother selling these sofas if they weren’t comfortable; because if you don’t like your sofa you’re just going to send it back to us, which will make us very unhappy (and poor)

What about your cushions?

Our seat cushions are made from feather-wrapped foam. This is an ingenious design made from a firm foam core wrapped with a gloriously soft duvet of white duck feather. We chose this combination because we think it represents a great compromise between comfort and maintenance. The basic rule is the more comfort, the more maintenance and vice-versa. Our cushions give you the best of both worlds – glorious comfort, with very little maintenance. The seat cushions will need the occasional bit of plumping.

The back cushions are 70% white duck feather – again great comfort, but they will need to be plumped a little bit more. They don’t get as much use though, so we reckon it’s worth the sacrifice.

Delivery & Returns

We deliver free to all addresses within approximately fifty miles of London. Past that point we ask for a small contribution, starting at £45. Please look at the map below for an approixmate guide to delivery areas.

N.B. we are able deliver to mainland British Isles. If you live elsewhere do drop us a line as we may be able to help you get your sofa to its desired destination.

Free returns

On the off-chance that you wish to return your goods, we will pick them up for free. You lose nothing, other than a fraction of your time.

Rapid delivery

We aim to keep many of our sofas in stock, and so we should be able to offer immediate delivery. If stock has run dry delivery will be between 4 and 6 weeks.

How do I pay?

We accept all major credit and debit cards except for American Express.

Is my sofa guaranteed?

Yes. We offer a five year frame and construction guarantee. Please also consider purchasing a further five year warranty to protect your fabric or leather cover (see the "fabric" tab at the top of the page)

What happens if my sofa doesn’t fit through the door?

Most of our sofas are constructed so that the arms are detachable or they split in two, so we pretty confident that we will get it in.

Before we deliver, we will have sent you a swatch pack, which will have a sample of your chosen fabric. Please check that you like this as well as your sofa’s dimensions to check it will fit in your room and that your doors and corridors are the right size - it would always be better if we knew first!

If we really can't get it in, we could always bring round the sofa.com JCB and quietly enlarge your door. Or if that isn't agreeable to you, we'll quietly take it away at no cost to you.

Can I buy a footstool on its own or a spare cover?

Of course, but you’ll need to call us direct on 0845 400 2222.

How can I keep my sofa clean?

What if I just don’t like my sofa?

An unlikely scenario. But if that is the case, give us a call within 14 days, and we’ll come a pick it up. No charge to you at all. We do, though, ask that you return it in the condition in which it was received.

Do you have a shop?

In principle we disapprove of shops since they cost lots of money to run, which means we would have to charge you more for your sofa.

That said, in our very beautiful office, we have a space allocated for quite a number of our sofas – a sort of cosy showroom. We would love to welcome you.

Are you good value?

Sofa.com sells very high quality sofas, the type of sofas that would cost between £1,300 and £2,500 on the high street.

Our sofas cost half that. Why?

Simple - we don’t waste lots of money on shops, brochures and expensive marketing campaigns. We focus all our attention and money, into what really counts - your sofa.

So it’s the SOFA that you’re buying - not all those other bits that you can’t sit on. This funny ol’ internet thing is ingenious – it means you can sit at home, have a cup of tea, and buy beautiful things at half the price of the high street. What will they think of next?

We invite you to take a wander through the streets, and visit such shops as Habitat, Sofa Workshop, Laura Ashley, John Lewis and The Conran shop. They are great brands and collectively produce some beautiful sofas. Our sofas are of a similar standard, quality and style to those sold by these retailers.
