spring thinking
Feb 03, 2012With the cold snap looming over us, spring seems a million miles away. But, don’t despair, there is one tiny ray of hope to see you through to sunnier days: we’ve noticed the odd clutch of Snowdrops rearing their delicate heads above the icy ground. And we’re not the only ones…
Mad about Marimekko
Feb 02, 2012A recent trip to New York got me in the mood for Marimekko.

Awards Season – The Runners and Riders
Feb 01, 2012The great and the good -and those that aspire to be – have begun gathering on red carpets around the world to celebrate their worth at the glitziest awards ceremonies known to man. Sofa.com’s virtual book club, and book giveaway
Jan 12, 2012Books and sofas go together like cheese and pickle. Or tea and cake. So with that highbrow thought in mind, we’re setting up an informal, fun and virtual book club. A gathering of people who like us, love to sit on sofas – or lie in bed – and read books. Up for joining us?
First up, we’d love to hear your winter book recommendations. What have you been reading this winter that you think we should all be reading too?
Our first recommendation is Into the Darkest Corner by Elizabeth Haynes. We’ve been passing a copy of this around the office and it’s had rave reviews all round. A gripping crime thriller, this book isn’t for the faint-hearted. It’s written as short diary entries which means you can’t help but read on and it’s been the cause of many late nights for those of us that have read it at sofa.com. We don’t want to give too much away as that’s the quickest way to ruin a good crime novel, but suffice to say it’s Elizabeth Haynes’s first novel and we can’t wait for her second already.
