We set up sofa.com with a very simple aim: to be the best value retailer of high-quality, beautiful and comfy sofas in the UK and to provide the best customer service in the industry. So far we’ve sold nearly 10,000 sofas and we’ve received tons of feedback from happy customers.  The key difference between sofa.com and everyone else is this: we’re so confident you’ll like our sofas that we will come to your house and collect it for free for a full refund if you don’t like it, but we’re guessing you’ll like it very much.

What's the deal then? 

Sofa.com sells very high quality sofas, the type of sofas that would cost between £1,300 and £2,500 on the high street.

Our sofas cost half that. Why? Simple – we don’t waste lots of money on shops, brochures and expensive marketing campaigns. We focus all our attention and money, into what really counts – your sofas. So it’s the SOFA that you’re buying – not all those other bits that you can’t sit on.

We invite you to take a wander through the streets, and visit such shops as Habitat, Sofa Workshop, Laura Ashley, John Lewis and The Conran Shop. They are great brands and collectively produce some beautiful sofas. Our sofas are of a similar standard, quality and style to those sold by these retailers. When you return to sofa.com you will notice a few things, namely that our sofas:

• Represent outstanding value.
• Look great
• Can be delivered very fast
• Can be ordered from your desk or kitchen table.

The Frames 

Super-tough, bombproof beech wood frames (little bombs, preferably).            Our hardwood frames are made from European beech trees. This makes them tough and built to last. Lesser made frames may be cheaper but will not last as long.

Guaranteed All our sofas come with a five-year construction guarantee. You may also like to opt for a five-year warranty and stain protection for your fabric covers – we think this is wise. Tell me why?

Our Fabrics 

Naturally the Best; we believe there is no room for compromise in this department! So, we’ve gone direct to the best mills in Europe to find you the very finest natural fabrics; Pure Linens and Cotton mixes from Belgium, Velvets from Florentine mills in Italy. Nothing but the best will do! Order Free Samples.

Removable Covers: The majority of our sofas also have loose covers, some fabrics are even washable. This means you can remove them for cleaning and care as well as ordering spares or replacements in time to come, adding value to your carefully chosen furniture.

Cushions 

We use the best cushion fillings money can buy. In effect they are a thick duvet stuffed with white duck feathers, which in turn is wrapped around a piece of top quality squidgy foam. The feathers give that lovely feathery feeling and the foam also feels good, but more importantly “returns” when you stand up, and reduces plumping time. The result is a really comfy cushion that you don’t have to keep on plumping.

For the back cushions we use 70% white duck feather and 30% fibre. The two combine to give a luxurious sinky-inny cush-cush. The back cushions will need a little plumping but we think this is worth it!

When can I get my sofa? 

We keep most of our “bestsellers” in stock. It’s best to call us and ask what we have available. If the sofa you order is in stock, then we should be able to deliver it very soon (our record is 90 minutes from point of order, but don’t count on this!)

If we have to make your sofa specially, then delivery will be between four and six weeks. In this case we will contact you normally 1-2 weeks prior to delivery to find you a suitable time.

How much is delivery?

Delivery is FREE within approximately 50 miles or 90 minutes of London (in our little vans). After that we do ask for a contribution towards the cost of delivery starting at £45. Risk-free ordering and returns 

We’ve tried to make things simple. You can order safely either via the website, over the phone or in person at our showroom. We accept all major credit and debit cards except American Express.

You can cancel or change your sofa order at any point prior to delivery. In addition, if you do not want your sofa for any reason, (within 14 days of delivery) we will come and collect it. There will be no charge whatsoever, we will refund you in full and we will do our best to be big about it.T+Cs 

How do I know I will like my sofa? 

You are going to have to take our word on this. In short, they are comfy, and we wouldn’t sell them if they weren’t. And, if you can’t take our word, come and try for yourself at our showroom.

Proportions

By and large our sofas are very generously proportioned, which give way to some serious lounging, or as they say, “sofas for living in” (the Maximus, Stella, Lola and Horatio ranges). Others (Daisy and Snowdrop ranges) are less about lounging and have a more formal aspect to them.
